Pull up to 250 Elk Drive and you'll immediately understand why this lodge earns a 4.6-star rating across 300 reviews. The grounds sprawl along a stunning river view, anchored by a sparkling swimming pool, a shaded outdoor patio, and wide grassy areas that invite you to slow down and stay a while. Traveling Elks members regularly pull their rigs into the campsite area, plug into full water and electrical hookups, and wake up to one of the better mornings Redding has to offer.

The lodge building itself is spacious and well-kept, with a dining room and bar that feel genuinely lived-in rather than stuffy. This isn't a dusty fraternal hall collecting cobwebs. It's a working, breathing community hub where members gather after long days, where families spread out on the picnic grounds on weekends, and where a traveler passing through on I-5 can find a friendly face and a clean shower.

Redding Elks Lodge #1073 has been serving the Northern California community through charitable giving, youth programs, and veterans support for decades. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks puts "community" in its mission statement and this lodge actually delivers on it, one campsite, one handshake, and one cold drink at a time.

What We Offer

The lodge offers RV and overnight camping with water and electrical hookups right on the property. Full shower facilities mean you can arrive road-weary and leave refreshed. It's a legitimate overnight stop that traveling Elks members consistently call one of the best-kept secrets on the Northern California corridor.

Beyond the campground, members enjoy access to the swimming pool and patio, the dining room, and the full bar. The outdoor space is generous enough for family gatherings, with picnic areas framed by mature trees and that signature Sacramento River view that makes Redding worth the stop.

As part of the national BPOE (Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks) network, Lodge #1073 also connects members to charitable programs, youth scholarships, and veterans outreach initiatives throughout Shasta County. Membership opens the door to all of it.

"Very nice lodge. The Elks were very welcoming. We stayed the night in their parking lot aka campsites with water and electricity. The sites are great for an overnight stop or 2."

"This is certainly a very nice facility. Spacious, well-maintained lodge, dining room and bar areas. Amazing swimming pool and outdoor patio surrounded by large, grassy area and river view. We stopped by on a Saturday about 4 pm and stayed about 90 minutes. In that time, there were about 3 or 4 dozen people in and out. I am someone who celebrates diversity and in our time there, we did not notice a single non-White person. Just looked up the racial makeup of Redding: 78% White, 10.5 % Latino, 4.5 % Asian. Rest of population is biracial, Black, Native or Pacific Islander. It really bothered me that I did not see any POC represented. (We were visitors to Redding today. We are members of Ashland, OR Elks which has had several POC in leadership positions.) I sincerely challenge the Redding club to take intentional steps to diversify and thereby strengthen your membership."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
